Dear FontShop Friend, As the year came to a close, the FontShop office was all aflutter with talk about what to do for our cherished friends. The knee-jerk assumption is to send a greeting card. You know, “Happy Holidays,” “Deck the Halls and Fa La La,” “Wishing You the Best of the Season.” But we all realized we love you more than that. A card is trite and boring, and it doesn’t last. We resolved to do something that truly expressed our enthusiasm for type and our appreciation for you. Introducing The 2005 FontFont Calendar. The FontFont culture has always been about great designers making great type. This time we asked those creators to play with their work. Each month was a canvas for the world’s best type designers to paint with their FontFonts. As the pieces began to stream back from our all-star lineup, we grinned a happy holiday grin — the results are stunning. So, beloved FontShopper, please take a moment to print your calendar and hang it in your home or studio. That way we can thank you twelve times a year.
